Strippers are definitely the way to go. ;)
But then again, I am sometimes lazy and just can't bring myself to buying the $20 tool. But then again, screw up a few arrows and you just could havebought yourself the tool. |

I just use a dull swiss army knife to scrape. I scrape it good once, rub it with a papertowel soaked in acetone, runs sandpaper over it quickly, wipe once more with the acetone and its usually good then.

Madjac: She was standing behind me when I wrote it. She was less than impressed.
RJ: That is exactly what I do. What grit sandpaper do you use? I am currently using 220. I find it harsh enough to get some of the stubborn glue off but not too harsh to mess up the carbon on the shaft. |

Yeah, it definitely roughs the surface up just enough to help bonding.
