BowTech Pics

Was just on the bowtech website and they have pics of the new bows under the whats new section. Click on the first two articles and the pics are there. You may have all known this but it was the first I had seen them.

Does that come with a divorce lawyer?

I hope(the lawyer)comes with'em to cbanman, LOL!!!! Although I did fufill one of the wifes requirements last night, I got a deer 3 point buck. He's not much for antlers but he goes in the 125-150lb range. That was her requirement that I get a deer with the bow I have before I buy another bow.

Hey Bowtech Shooter,

Can you list the let-off's for the new line up. I didn't see them listed in the specs.

Also, another question, I haven't shot a dual cam bow in about 7 or 8 years. Now with newer cable and string technology are these systems as prone to come out of timing as they were back then, meaning does the decreased stretching of the string and cable help prevent this? I did notice they Patriot Dually has got cable adjustments, do they use some kind of a timing mark to help line things up?

thanks,
Toby

Does BowTech measure their bow speed the way the bows are pictured with string silencers on them?

RE: BowTech Pics

I'm pretty sure Bowtech and every other bow mfgr. measures speed with nothing on the string....

That's what I think too, but something to think about is what BowTech_Shooter said in another post:

&quot;VibraBlocks and Hush Kits are standard for 2003...&quot;

So my question is if this is standard, does BowTech measure their speed with these on their bows?

RE: BowTech Pics

It says in the brouchere that all speeds are obtained with nothing on the string. Also states that all dual cams are 65% let-off, Infinity cam is adjustable 65%-80%. and the wheely is either 65% or 80%. Man this brouchere sure comes in handy!! HUh BTS...:) I Can't wait to shell out the cash for the dual cam Patriot!!

What are the speeds of the bows the way they are selling them with VibraBlocks and Hush Kits installed from the factory? Do you loose alot of speed with them installed?

If the BK2 is 350 fps without them what is the actual speed of the bow the way they are selling it?

If I am wrong that they are not selling their bows with
VibraBlocks and Hush Kits installed from the factory I apologize in advance.

Thanks

Trespassin, I read some where that the hushkit and vibra block are engineered so as only to take a few fps away. The vibrablock and hush kit come standard on every bow, except the Rascal.

65% let-off on the dual Pat<img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle>. I thought it was 75%. So thats where some of the speed comes from. I am shooting with 80% now, and love it for hunting. That 65% may just kill the deal for me.

What do you think JeffB? Man that DCPat. has a lot of holes in it! A lot of work went into these bows, I count 15 holes not counting what's under the grip and to think Kev was shooting one at 105 pounds? I don't know that BK Pro looks mighty good, I might have to try one instead of the DCPat. The Pro40 Wheely looks like it will be a good seller with the dottys! RE: BowTech Pics

My interest, as of right now, lies with the Patriot Dual Cam and The Extreme VFT. Having shot a single cam @ 80% for the past several years I have reservations about going back to dual cams and 65%. My reservations are that I don't want to make 750.00 mistake. I don't think converting to dual cams and a lower percentage let-off is something one will perceive as a problem by just test firing one a few times.

On the other hand there is the Extreme VFT. Does anyone know what let-off percentage Bowtech uses when they established their IBO specs. Last week I shot a Patriot Solo Cam set at 80%, at least what the shop owner told me, and it was shooting 313 at 5gr/lb, which is within the specs of the Patriot. So I was wondering if the VFT was spec'ed at 80%.

All the single cam bows are tested and advertised with 80% let off.

I'm not real sure where the let off information came from but the tech information I recieved earlier said it was 70% on the Duallys, 65% or 80% on the Wheely and of course 65-80 on the Infinity cam.

BTS the 65% let-off isays in the broucher(sp). It is on the last pagefar right column, last sentence of the third paragraph. It is possible that it is a typo though. Happy shootin all!!

Bowtech Shooter,

You might want to pass on to the bowtech webmaster, that he should design the pages so you don't have to scroll to read a paragraph. Many who don't have their screens set on higher resolutions won't bother to read it. Just a friendly tip...

Thank you, good catch...I missed that myself...I'll call the BowTech R&D Monday to find out for sure and get back with the information.

Also read the paragraph under that one too. &quot;Every effort has been made to ensure accuracy or information, color, and typographical content within our 2003 product catalog&quot;

I'll find out... May be a typo since the BK had 65% let off last year.

Bees, try shooting one and you may be able to overlook the look<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>. I haven't recieved my catalog yet but from the line up that was posted I think I counted 16 different bows available for 2003. That said, some of the 2002 models didn't look anything like Mathews. They really perform, my Wife really likes her Tec 29 and it's faster and more accurate than anything she's had in 18 years. Good luck shopping and have a happy Thanksgiving!
