Will hunting in the rain affect the string/cable length?

I'm not sure what has happened -yet. But my bow feels longer and my no-peep is showing my anchor to be off (anchor now low).
I am (was before a quick sight adjustment was made to continue hunt) shooting to the left of where I was a few weeks ago(rht handed).
(2" left at 30 yards)

The only thing I can look back on and think of that might have changed things was hunting in a3 hour downpour at ~70*f (it was supposed to let up before dark, but didn't[>:]).

My ata looks to have grown 1/16" of an inch also.
My timing marks are very slightly off, but not much.

Will excessive moisture affect 452x material?

Thx.

If you keep them conditioned, I wouldn't think it would. Sounds like you are in the beginnings of string/cable failure.

YepI keep them coated pretty good since the 452x looks fuzzy where I grab the bow.

I'm thinking on adding one twist to the string and seeing where that lines me out.

Too damn late in the season to be replacing strings now. Ifn she goes I'll just switch to my back-up bow.

New Gibblet string & cables are already on my list for 07.

not sure, but i know it looks crazy when i shoot my bow in the pouring rain, like a mist explosion from the string. that can't be good.

Never had a problem with gibblets strings, then again hunting in the rain has never been productive at all for me. Nap time.:D

Nodog, no doubt. Bow season was winding down which coincides with the rut in East Texas. We just KNEW once the rain stopped the deer would be moving. The weatherman said it should taper off before dark and well it didn’t.
Whatrya gonna do?

I put one full twist in the string today and raised the loop back to where it belonged.
This made the timing marks dead on where my pencil mark had them and returned my no-peep to a circle in a circle (pencil marks on it verified it hadn’t moved). Anchor felt a lot better (perfect match to no-peep)) and sight pin location was back on.

The only thing I don’t understand is what caused my loop to move down.
Did my loop slip? Did my serving move? I don’t know.
It wasn’t much, but enough to matter.

Looks like I need to reconsider how my loop/ ”nock point” is anchored to the string.

Gibblet, makes me wonder. You’ll be getting an order for a Tribute set up once season is over (if my current stuff last that long[&:] )
