LEGALLY BLIND

Hey folks I'm new here and hope you can help. My wife teaches and there is a kid in her class that is leaglly blind. This kids asks my wife everyday if I will take him hunting. I really want to take this kid hunting and help him get his first deer. I've heard there were rifle scope mounts that off set the scope, so I could sight and him make the shot. If any one has a better solution I am all ears. Thanks

It would take some working with him, but you could make up a "rifle" type sight that you could use on his bow by standing behind him. You tell him which way to move and hold the bow while you sight for him. Look in the on-line catalogs, I think there's a sight called the "Hind Site" maybe that has a front and rear sight.

get him in touch w/ this lady [email protected]
her name is karen vought. you can get in touch w/ her also. she heads up the 'physically challenged bowhunters of america' (pcba). they have hunts every year, and it seems to be a wonderful organization. there are quarterly newsletters w/ some good offers from folks willing to help disabled bow hunters in many ways ;).

There is a product called a borescope , you could mount to the end of the scope and remotely veiw the sight picture , both of you in a ground blind , should be a breaze , thats with a rifle .
