I agree with some of the above statements. We have our brand favs and of course we think they are the best (for us) It doesn't mean we should bad talk another brand that we don't own or can't sell.

What's great for one person might not be for the next...For whatever reasons...So be it...
I think it would suck if we didn't have so many choices to choose from...

I too feel that Mathews must be a mighty fine built bow, they sure have sold the snot out of them over the years.

I come from a 3-D back ground and a lot of the shooters there think that if you don't shoot the bow they shoot you can't win. Even win you pound the help out of them the seem to sneer at you.I've been shooting a CSS for the last 5 yrs and never had the first problem with they'er bows,killed lots of deer with them no matter what the arrow weight, won lots of 3-D shoots with this bow. I sell 20 or so year and hardly have to work on them, yet if it's not a brand pushed on these archrey sights they are some what blasted or or worse and not this particular brand. I like most guy's are tired getting brand X and Y shoved down they'er throat. Every bow has some sort of lack luster quality about them, but I'll give up 10fps for shot to shot repete ability. I do not hate mathews. Our shop shooter thought they were the greatest thing till he won the IBO Triple Crown with a CSS.

Well, my biggest reason for not liking Mathews is the devoted following of dumb !@#es that shoot them(I am not in anyway saying that everyone that shoots a Mathews is a dumb!!#). I use to work at a Pro Shop and I would have these Jo Schmo smucks that didn't know their @## from a hole in the ground come in and harp to me about how Mathews was the best bow on the market blah blah blah! Of course none of them could tell you why they were so great &quot;but that's what their buddy said, duh huh&quot;. So that is my biggest pet peave. After that their lack of speed and draw length adjustment. Also, I personally never felt they were any quieter(if as quiet) nor vibration free than some of the other bows on the market. Myself never having been one to jump on the bandwagon, I never could bring myself to cross over to the &quot;dark side&quot;. As far as their pricing and quality goes I think they are right in line with the rest of the market. The Q2 is the closet they have come to meeting my specs so far. I just like a little more speed(it's a hang-up what can I say<img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>).

SideNote: for those that might say I am on the BowTech bandwagon. I ordered my first BowTech and started touting BowTech immediately after the 2001 SHOT Show in New Orleans(Jan 2001). So, I was a BowTech fan when being a BowTech fan wasn't cool<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> It is cool to get in on the &quot;ground level&quot; and then see everyone else start to realize what you have known all along. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Last year I met a guy at a 3D shoot who had a Mathews. We were both early so we drank our coffee and shot at the practice bails. After I heard his bow fire I knew I would never buy one.

With limb savers, doinker stabilizer and string whiskers it was among the loudest bows I have ever heard. There may have been something wrong with it (loose accessories or cracked limb ????) but Mathews bows are also expensive and ugly.

My ultimate bow is a Hoyt ... to each his own. All of the high end bows out there are good and I couldn't find one that had any real point of difference until I tried the Hoyt Protec.

Browning makes an excellent bow also. Maybe you should check out the new ones.

I want opinions PA and Pinwheel. Don't be PC on account of me. Let it out. I was just curious. I haven't paid much attention to the new stuff util this fall but noticed that Mathews didn't get much play on this forum. Wanted to know what folks thought. By the way FBF, last I heard Browning archery went belly up and now PSE is putting the browning name on some of the low end bows. Just what I have heard. I thought my bow was gold, and browning for that matter but now I want something new. It still kills deer though. See.

I thinks it's only fair you know that Browning didn't go belly up. The Browning engineers are still doing their job but PSE does build the bows for them.
