preloading a thumb trigger release?
I just purchased a Chappy boss thumb trigger release. How necessary is pre-loading the trigger? The release is very sensitive. I’ve adjusted the tension on the spring to what I think is the least sensitive setting, and it still seems like just a little added pressure after wrapping my thumb around it sets it off. I tried to shot my index finger release with back tension and was able to add some pressure to the trigger with out releasing the arrow. With the sensitive trigger on the Chappy boss is the preloading needed? If you guys have any suggestions on how to achieve this that would be appreciated as well.
Thanks Mike |

RE: preloading a thumb trigger release?
Most of the better shooters setthe thumb trigger releases very heavy. The very sensitive trigger oftenleads to jerking and punching.
Bigpapascout is right, BT is much more consistent for that type of release. |

I have a set of extra heavy spings in my Truball Extreme you can order them through Truball.

I preload the trigger before pulling through with my ST-3. You can order stiffer springs from them.

Thanks for the advise guys. Looks like I will be calling TRU ball for stiffer springs.
