Can this arrow be saved?
Almost Robin Hooded this one while broadhead tuning 'bout a month ago. Wondering if it's worth having someone with an arrow saw trim approx. 1/2" to 3/4" off nock end. From what i can tell the split is about 1/2" long, can't tell have far beyond that it goes. I'll also be wrapping it and re-fletching with Blazers. My draw is 28", the arrow is 29" (got it on sale @ Wal-Mart), I shoot thru a WB and I estimate there is about 1" from the WB to the end of the shaft. Any and all help welcomed. I just to cheap to throw it away if it can be salvaged.

RE: Can this arrow be saved?
It's not worth the risk! Toss it!

RE: Can this arrow be saved?
You can buy a whole bunch of arrows for what one trip to the emergency room would cost. Don't take the risk. It's a tomato stake now.

Thanks, that what I thought, it's better to ask a dumb question than to assume a dumb answer.

RE: Can this arrow be saved?
I say toss it also. You can't see the damage that may be further up on the inside of the shaft. Better to be safe than sorry.

RE: Can this arrow be saved?
I might try to save it for stump and rodent shooting but I sure would not toss it at a deer. For the price of an arrow it would just not be worth it. I figure I am paying $3.00 for premium 12 guage slugs so arrows end up being pretty cheap based on the number of times you can shoot them.

RE: Can this arrow be saved?
That's a good way to look at it. I certainly don't complain about the slugs I've gone thru. Good perspective.

RE: Can this arrow be saved?
you could cut it down for some one with a shorter Draw

RE: Can this arrow be saved?
How do you know the crack doesn't go farther up on the inside of the arrow?

RE: Can this arrow be saved?
Toss it and chalk it up to a learning experience. Don't shoot BH's at the same spot.
