NAP QuikTune 2000 Question
 

I just mounted this rest on my bow a few days ago. My initial thoughts are positive. I really like it. However, about every 3rd or 4th arrow likes to jump off the rest as I'm drawing back. About midway through the draw cycle, the arrow simply lifts up and kinda "floats" above the prongs. Sometimes, it moves to one side or the other and at the end of the draw cycle, the arrow comes to rest right beside the prongs on the shelf. Anyone else have this problem? I shoot with a release and a D-loop.

Note: Please don't tell me to buy a Whisker Bisket or other rest. I bought this one and will keep it. Just wondering if there's something wrong with the way I'm drawing the bow or if anyone else has any cures.

Checkif your D-loop is pinching the nock while drawing. Do you use a speed nock peep alignier? I was using one and that is what happen to me while drawing the arrow back but if you don't use one then check your D-loop if it's pinching your nock.

The NAP is a excellent rest and I certanly would not change it but like any thing you will have to work the bugs out of it

It could be that the rest needs to be dropped down a tad or the nocking point movedup slightly sounds as if the Nock may be bottoming out on the rest due to the rest being slightly higher than the nock travel or it could be something as simple as a little fletch clearance issues

or it could be that the lift cord may be getting in the way
one thing that I would definately do is to get rid of the lift cable and cable guard mount replace with a standard lift cord AKA string loop material and attatch it to the harness

this normally has solved any issues I have dealt with concerning the rest on customers bows.

yor loop is pinching the nock, slide the bottom of loop do down and tie it off so the knot will not touch the nock.

That is what it sound like to me, too. I have the same arrow rest you have and I havn't had any problems with it. I really like this arrow rest!

It very well could be Nock pinch
but if for some reason it is not check the things I mentioned
one or the other is bound to be the problem;)

I've never had the problem you describe with my Quiktune 2000. It may be the nock pinch that others have referred to, but one question. When you draw your bow, is it one fluid motion, straight back, or are you yanking it back while pointing it up or down?

The local Walmart has this same rest on clearance sale for 25$, I was thinking about getting one.

I suspect they are pretty good rests?

Thanks for the help, guys. It was indeed Nock-Pinch. D-loop has been repositioned and all is well. I REALLY love how this rest shoots.
