I don't think 5shot even does a rock test. It would just get too costly.[:@]

I've never Hunted from a 12' tripod. It seemed to change my shot placment, but some of the guy's at camp said I should have bent at the waist before taking the shot. Don't know, I just missed my intended target.

You should practice shooting from elevations before you hunt from them. I do most of my shooting at ground level but always practice from an elevated stand before the season to make sure I am on. It does change things. Good luck on your next shot.

I have a 6' tripod set up in the yard. The shot from the tripod is 26 yard. never had a problem. I also practice from the ground. I think maybe just the first shot of the season probaly jitters.

AW, you can still use that arrow.
Just get some hot melt, chewing gum, marine epoxy, and a file to sharpen up that point a wee bit. ;)

Hey, look on the bright side. At least you didn't hit the shoulder bone. :D

its alwaays nice seeing other people destroy their arrows too...its fun getting the cheepest dozen of alum's you can and go out and see if you can destroy them all while practicing shooting everything in sight

Muzzy torture test (well I don' think it was torture for the muzzy), this and the head above were shot at cast iron from a 70 pound compound, 2317 aluminums.

how come the muzzy held up so well and the other is destroyed?

Muzzy's have a hook on the bottom of the blade that locks it the body. The muzzy tip also threads on to theend of thebody holding the top end together. I have had a blade hit the back of another one in a target and not come loose from the body.

IMO the Muzzy Broadhead design is one of if not the toughest/most durableout there. Neither head is made to be shot at an impenetrable object though. Never had a problem using the innerloc on deer.

Muzzy are really tough. I missed game and found my arrow stuck in a rock , yes a rock. The muzzy 3 blade (100 grain) just shoved straight back into my arrow. And I think I may of even salvaged some of the muzzy's parts for later.
