RE: For your viewing pleasure '07 Hoyts
That Vectrix really caught my eye.
I may have to look into it this spring. |

RE: For your viewing pleasure '07 Hoyts
I am a DIE HARD Hoyt fan, and I'm not impressed. Speeds are average, I don't like the black riser pockets and cams, and they just don't impress me. But I'll keep objective until I shoot one at the shop when they come in.

RE: For your viewing pleasure '07 Hoyts
thanks mobow. I think them black pockets are great alot better then the ones on my Trykon. I didnt notice the Trykon XL did I miss it or is there not one there? Im not impressed buy the fact that their new bows are basicly a trykon with a different name and cam and didnt gain any speed same specs as last years Trykon.

ORIGINAL: bowhunter79deer I didnt notice the Trykon XL did I miss it or is there not one there? Im not impressed buy the fact that their new bows are basically a trykon with a different name and cam and didnt gain any speed same specs as last years Trykon. I also hear the center shot issues have been corrected and hopefully some of the cam lean issues have somewhat disappeared. Both of these issues really made tuning the Trykon's a pain. If the draw cycle improves and the tuning issues are resolved, who cares about the speed? As long as theVectrix holds steady, gives up a little weight in comparison to the Trykon, and is easier to tune, what are we complaining about? Do we really need 330 in a hunting bow? If so, check out the Vulcan. Looks like it might be a bear to shoot accurately though. I agree, not much change in the appearance, but then again, if itshoots better, are you really worried they didn't change the appearance much? |

Ho hum at best.........

RE: For your viewing pleasure '07 Hoyts
I'm a huge Hoyt fan as well although I currently shoot a Bowtech Allegiance, the looks don't impress me, I'm sure shooting them will. We'll see. I may be in the market again in 07. lol;)

RE: For your viewing pleasure '07 Hoyts
I'm in love!!! I can't wait to shoot the Vectrix. I like the fact that they are equipping their bows with STS systems (or variants thereof).

RE: For your viewing pleasure '07 Hoyts
The Vectix XL looks very nice to me, but since it has nearly the same specs as my Champion Scorpion, which I like and shoot pretty well, I doubt I'll be a buyer unless I come into some unexpected money.;)

RE: For your viewing pleasure '07 Hoyts
WOW SOMEONE ELSE HAS A CHAMPION!!!! I have the saber and I really like it....but that Vulcan is calling my name

RE: For your viewing pleasure '07 Hoyts
I'm gonna stick with my 04 Vipertec. I might try to pick up a V TEC off ebay if the price is right. I don't think I could make a decision with all the great bows out there. I some times hear a whisper of Bowtech in my head, That I ignore. I wonder what they will have this year?

Do we really need 330 in a hunting bow? If so, check out the Vulcan. Looks like it might be a bear to shoot accurately though. I'm guessing no company is going to give me what I want and have an arrow going anywhere near that speed. Besides, speed is irrelevant to hunting success, so I don't give a hoot about it. |
