The Sts is a string suppressor, that mounts to the front or rear stabilizer insert in your bow . There are several different manufacturers with similar products.
I shoot straight arm, elbow locked. The limbsaver button touches my bow arm at full draw. I never feel the string hit the button on release.

In my humble opinion try this suggestion. My guess is your standing to square to the target or past square or 90 degrees to it. You need to open up your posture possibly. Lay an arrow on the ground pointing at the target and put your toes against the arrow. Your feet should be a shoulders length apart and your shoulders the same line as your feet. Now bring back your front foot about half a step away from the arrow leaving your back foot against the arrow. You now are more open in posture and could possibly stop the string slapping your forearm. Try shooting from this posture for awhile. Good luck.

If you use the grip that nubo posted and open up your stance like Grandviewer has described, you should see a big difference. Try it and let us know.

The grip change really helped!!! I was holding the bow too deep in my palm - when I moved it towards thethumb the slapping stopped! Thanks for all of the advice!

Well! I'm sure glad we were able to help you out . just keep practicing that grip and it'll gradually become normal for you.Remind yourself every time you setup to shoot to remember to check your grip.
