Well I tried the Muzzy tonight. I hope this will be my last post for a while. My buddy picked up my bow for me and forgot the dvd so I had to go by prior posts here to adjust. Took me a while to figure out I needed to shoot cock vane down but the results were spectacular. It was hard for me to run from the WB but I am glad I did at least so far.
I first set out to sight in my 20 yard pin w/ field tips. Got that, then fired a few BH's to see where they were hitting. A bit low so I took a 1/2 turn off of the rest elevation screw thus raising it a tad. Immediate effect. BH's and FP's stacking on top of each other. 1st knock broken.
I then set out to walk back tune. Shot first at 30 since I already knew my 20 yard impact point. 2 BH's at 30, 2 BH's at 38 (my max yard distance, had to hop the fence for that one). As I walked toward the target I could see I had a right to left downward slant in my groups. I of my 2 30 yd arrows shaved the fletch off the other, 2nd arrow ruined. My 38 yd 2 arrow group fit in the fist of my hand.
I adjusted for centershot (just a few taps to the right bringing the rest closer to the riser) and fired another round of BH's. 1 arrow fired at 20 to minimize damage. 30 yd group was almost right below the 20 with both arrows stacked on each other. I pulled one of my 38 yd shots a bit so I decided to fire a FP in its place. BH fired right after grouped right with the FP. My line looked pretty straight so I went another round to make sure it wasn't a fluke. I had similar results and tore another fletch on the 30 yd group, 3 arrows ruined.
I then set out to re-sight my 20 yard pin as it seemed to have been lined up a bit left after I got my walk back tune down. That took me a while since my Copper John sight didn't seem to fit any of my allen wrenches.
I initially had some fletch contact on the left side of the release arm but that went away totally when I went cock fletch down. I am very happy right now. My FP's and BH's are stacking on top of each other. The bow was easy to tune with the rest and I shot better than my normal ability. The rest was forgiving of my form and as long as I held my concentration I felt I could put the arrow where I wanted. I shot till dark and really enjoyed my bow knowing it was finally shooting at its best.
