I purchased a Bear Extreme 2000 compound bow w/ mech release, fiber optic sights, hard case, & quik Tune 1000 rest.

After buying the bow I want on the web and started downloading manuals for the bow & rest. To find out that the rests "fingers" were upside down...
So I turned them around and quessed how far to have the gap.

If I have the arrow notched as the quiktune suggests, The fletching closest to the riser HITS the riser. If I turn the arrow, the fletching hits the rest.

To combat this I moved the quiktune all the way away from the riser, and the fletching still hits..

Not sure what to do next...
Suggestions?

You might try pointing the cock feather out instead of down. If that doesn't work, try using the low profile Duravanes.

Once you get your vanes to clear, paper tune your bow and do not move your rest from then on.

I know you don't want to hear this but get a new rest. These are a nightmare to tune with complete fletch clearance. That is why the newest and hottest rests don't look a thing like that one....and why the prongs were turned. I have had guys bring me bows that they did the same thing to. I would look at a whisker biscuit if you are going to hunt whitetails. They hold the arrow and are very accurate hunting rest. You got your set up used I am guessing so therefore you saved enough to spend $35 on a rest. That is cheaper than a new dozen arrows you will need if you keep shooting the quicktune!!
Once you get this problem solved come back and we will try to help you get on track.
