Arrow wraps up front

Will putting a 8 grain arrow wrap at the front of my arrow change the spine of the arrow or flight characteristics of the arrow?

Why would you put it at the front? Also shooting a target may mess them up..

Technically yes.......but in reality I doubt that you will see any affects at practical hunting distances unless you are already borderline weak.
Any weight that you add to the FOC has the affect of softening arrow spine.

Thanks for the opinions guys. Keep them coming. Basically i still want to be able to clearly see my arrow in midflight while not having to take the fletching off my existing arrows and then refletch after adding the wrap. Has anyone tried this? BTW My arrows are slightly on the stiff side so no problem then?

RE: Arrow wraps up front

Shouldn't be any problem spine wise, but I hate to break it to you.......you won't see them in mid flight.:D
The reason you see the hunting video guys do this(forward wrap)is just that, for videos........the camera is generally always at an angle to the arrow in flight which will help to give it a streak affect to the target for production purposes.

The same way a deer won't see a Lumenock coming at them.........you won't see a wrap going away from you.;)

RE: Arrow wraps up front

i do agree with killadoe...they will probably get ripped off quick depending on the target....

and i agree with matt...you wont see them unless you have poor arrow flight..like a major fishtail or something like that. something like that i wouldnt wanna see more then once! the best thing i can think of for you is a bright nock or a lumenock and/or atleast 1 bright fletching. i have 2 green blazers with 1 white. and chartruce nocks. i can see them fly pretty good. i read in a book to follow through and keep your head the same and try to watch the arrow through the peep..not moving your head. i now see all my arrows and i shoot better. i used to shoot 2 feathers that were a yellow/green color with 1 white..i seen them better then the green but still see the green and white fine. good luck in your search...got alot of options that are better then a wrap up front. for what youll pay for wraps you might as well buy new nocks..or have them refletched
