RE: BROADHEADS!!!!!!!

Thats a tuff one.Ive used fixed for 23yrs,trying TekanII this yr for the 1st time(they fly like my field points do)I didnt have to adjust for them.
But its what works for you that counts.
Everyone has there opinion on this.
Good Luck.

Fixed or Mechanical should be a choice based on preference not arrow flight.

If you can get your bow to shoot fixed blade BHs well, and prefer to shoot mechs, go right ahead.

However if you are going to mechs because your fixed blade BHs don't fly or group well then you have no business using a mech. Your bow is not in tune and changing to a mechanical will allow you to hit the same spot, but bad arrow flight will severely reduce the effectiveness of the head, and may lead to poor penetration.

That being said, I prefer fixed blade heads. I have been shooting the G5 Montecs 100gr for the past 3 years and really like how this head flies. My 60 yard groups are in the range of 2-4" and if I shoot the same spot I will routinely cut vanes off.

I've used both the Montec G5's and the Slick Trick's and I might add both head's fly awsome for me .I've never really cared for Mechanical's ,but as other's have said it's just my preference not because I had a bad experience .I think at one point that the mechanical's weren't as reliable as they are today .I just simply prefer the fixxed head.
