Would it be possible to?

Get 260 fps with a 27" draw and 60 lbs. I would shoot 344 grain arrows and would like to stay 6.5 or above in brace height. Will any of the new bows give me this or am I just dreaming. Don

RE: Would it be possible to?

Yes I beleive it would be very possible with a tall brace Bowtech Blacknight2 or tech29 both are at the 6.5" brace maybe even a Mighty Mite @ 7.2" brace. But it you wait for the 2003 bowtechs you could get Bowtech Patriot dual cam it IBO's at speeds up to 340fps!!! with a 7.7" brace. Smokin fast ain't it!!!! Bo

Bowtech shooter would problaly have close to the exact speed numbers for these bows at the specs you want.

As of right now I don't have all the technical data, but I'll take a shot in the dark.

If I run the numbers the way I normally would, the Dual Cam Patriot I come up with approx. 278 fps. at the specs you've given.

The Tall Brace (6.75") Black Knight 2 would be approx.288 fps.

These numbers are very rough numbers. I tried to keep my numbers in so if I figured right it really could be on one side or the other of these numbers.

I also should have added the Pro 40 Dual (7.375" brace)at around 275 fps.

The Extreme VFT (6.625" brace) at around 277 fps and the Single Cam Patriot (7.375" brace) right around your 265 fps. mark...

I guess I overlooked the Singles since I'm looking so forward to the new duals myself...

Again these are just rough calculated guesses and with nothing subtracted for string accessories.

Thanks alot, I thought Bowteck might do it. I really want to stay at 36" to 38" axel to axel and as light as possible. My Parker feather mag is a great bow. It's light at 3.2 lbs. and short at 37" (short for me)but I would like to have that one pin out to 30 yards. Don

My Wife's Tec 29 shoots a 313 grain carbon 254 fps at 54 pounds and 26 inch draw, enough to shoot through a buck she got last Monday night. I would guess with your draw length and weight a Tec 29 would do 270 to 275 and by the way she shoots this bow better than anything she has had in 19 years. BowTech Rocks!
