WB rst, how to fletch
Had a Wisker put on My bow, I was shooting ICS hunters w/ Quickspins,Thunder 125 heads.
Dropped My arrows off to get refletched, I got 3 opinions from the proshop staff 1) use quickspins with the WB 2) feathers (but I hunt in the rain) 3) blazers (but they are out) I am leaning towards 4" vanes, should they be straight or helical ? Many Thanks, Nick |

2 degree offset, works for me!

Slackdaddy, welcome to the site!
You will geta lot of good advice here. I have a whisker biscuit on my bow and love it. I have 4 inch bohning vanes fletched on my arrow, with a slight offset as well. One thing I would suggest is to place a dab of glue on the front edge of the vane. This will keep the bristle from getting underneath the vane and pulling off of the arrow. |
RE: WB rst, how to fletch
WB + Quick Spins = major NO NO

RE: WB rst, how to fletch
DO NOT USE QUICKSPINS !!!!!!!!!!
What you want to use are Blazers with a sligt helical to it. |
RE: WB rst, how to fletch
Bohning vanes, vanetec, flex fletch,AAE speed flyte all work good.quickspins will get eaten up in a hurry I would'nt recomend them.

RE: WB rst, how to fletch
I use 4inch right helical feathers with mine they work great. dont wear out like the vanes when shot alot, but the edges will tatter a bit. as for hunting in the rain I only take two arrows with me deer hunting anyway if it rains and they need to be replaced early so be it. Also you could buy a jig and refletch/put togetheryour own arrows this is very easy to do and will save $$$ if you shoot allot or are rough on equipment.-just a thought

RE: WB rst, how to fletch
Quickspins with a WB causes too much drag.

RE: WB rst, how to fletch
feathers throught the WB are my recomendation. you get frayed edges ont he feathers but they will shoot exactly the same (ive used feathers that were missing chunks and they flew the same) and they lay back a little going through the rest even smoother then plastic vanes. i use them all year just give them a good coat of NOSNO swipe them off alittle while it raining and no problems for 5-6 years now. shot my one buck last year in a flash flood causing downpour arrow flew exactly were i wanted and i mean exactly.
