Are you using CXL's again in 2003?

I'm trying to figure out what arrows I plan to use for 3D's in 2003. I like the light, fat CXL's, but with the factory and Beiter nocks, they get expensive due to damage and don't hold up to nock hitting. To the archers who use the 2213 unibushings, are you satified with them and do they hold up well? Is there any other manufacturer that makes a good nock or unibushing?

I won't be using them again. Even with a 2213 bushing I've found them very fragile. In addition, just about any moderately hard impact must mess with the carbon weave as I can't keep any of them straight (and spined well) for very long. I've found them less durable than the ACCC Hyperspeeds. The CXL's shoot quite well when new though.

Overall, I think they need quite a bit of improvement.

If you are looking for a large diameter line cutter, you might look into the Goldtip line, as they have a couple of different options. Apparently they are more durable than the CXLs when I've talked to folks familiar with both shafts.

I agree with JDoyle , the uni bushings from Lancaster for CXL fit alot better than 2213 bushings .
I'd stay away from 2213 points as well , they tend to jam up into the shaft .
I'm on my third dozen 250 CXL's since mid summer , but I shoot a bunch .Almost the whole 1st dozen died due to 2213 points jamming up the shaft .
Don't expect the CXL's to survive misses or being beat around alot by other arrows , but they fly great .
PDP makes a 70 grain glue in just for CXL shafts that works great for me .
Hope this helps
Scott

I will be shooting them again! I found that they fly great and I thought they held up just fine! Sure, if you have one that gets smacked "head on" then it will hurt as would any arrow! But I found them to be just as durable as anything Ive shot in the past.

I am anxiously awaiting to shoot my CXL 150's again this year. I use the factory uni-bushings and nocks. Overall I found them to be better than Archery Dynamics.
