Default "Ping" sound

When I shoot my bow, I can hear a high-pitched "ping." It's not very loud, but it's there. I can also get my bow to produce this sound if I push down my prong-type rest and let it spring back into place. Because of this, I thought it was the rest making the noise. However, I tried holding the rest while I"flicked" it (to dampen it) but it still made the sound. I also tried dampening every other part of my bow with my hand as I "flicked" the rest. I just can't seem to find out where this ping is coming from.

I recently helped a release shooter with the same problem. His nock was hitting the reset on release. We adjusted the nock set down a turn at a time andthis corrected the noise problem. He also picked up a few feet per secondand tighter groups.

Make sure EVERY single bolt and screw is tightened, check you stabilizer and even you light (if you have one).

What part of the bow does it sound like its coming from?
I've had the bearings in the cam of a bow sound similar to that when they got loose or were going out
