on the mathews switchback the centershot is supposed to be 13/16 from the riser, when i had my nap quiktune 2000 rg tuned the centershot is so close to the riser that myvanes are almost hitting it. is there something wrong with my bow,string,form,etc.any help would be appreciated.

when you had it tuned thru walkback tuning? or how?

huh? you mean someone else papertuned your bow?

If not, are you torquing the bow.

We just got done resetting up my Xt at Robs. We used his laser setup tool and had to move the rest so far in it had to be cuttoff a little on the right hand prong.(Shakey Hunter) I had previously paper tuned it and it was perfect holes. I think that 13/16th is a starting point for sure cause mine is11/16th now. I shoot the Blazers and they clear everything fine, they are close but still clear.

I shoot the same bow,I had trouble tuning with a regular arrow rest.I put a whisker biscuit on and whalla bullethole.I tuned and retuned trying to get my nap to shoot a bullethole consistantly. I never did really answer the question on why I couldnt make it work.I just put on the biscuit.I usually check my bow at least once a week,and even more during hunting season.The biscuit gives me perfect bullet holes every time.Good Luck If ya figure out how to tune that rest let me know.

We are all fighting the same problem. I have the XT also. I have been tuning and retuning it since April. What I found out is that you can paper tune it and you can bare shaft tune it and, at least on mine, neither are the same as broadhead tuning on the XT. This has been driving me crazy. I am going elk hunting in about 28 hours. I had it perfect last week. I could hit a grapefruit with a broadhead up to 40 yards. I took it to the shop to just check it on paper tuning and I ended up changing everything. It would hit perfect bullet holes in paper, but the broadheads were a foot off. I am almost perfect now, I think. I shoot the WB also. I had to pull the arrow rest all the way into the riser. The only problem is if you are too close you will hit your blades of the broadhead on the riser when you draw. I don't know the exact centershot of mine today, but I started at 13/16 and probably moved it to 11/16. I also had to drop my knock point to almost exactly square. In my opinion, if you are going to hunt with it, broadhead tune it.

Remember that when your are paper tuning, your hand placementmust be torque free. Any torque or inconsistent hand placement will give you incorrect results.

I think that this is part of the reason so many people don't consider paper tuning to be very valuable. Their bowhand placement is simply notconsistent enough to give good results on paper.

Seems liks I've read where folks have been having to yoke tune the switchbacks,that is twist up the opposite yoke on the cable. I would set the centershot where it needs to be then try twisting the yoke and see if it makes a change.
