A/C/C

Ok, so I know most of the differences between aluminum and carbon, but what's the deal with A/C/C arrows? Is it just supposed to be the best of both worlds? How do they perform compared to alum. and carbon arrows? How about durability?

One of the best arrows money can buy and yes, you get the best of both worlds but like Terry mentioned, unlike complete carbon arrows, ACC's will bend, not as easily as pure aluminum but they will.

I think I'd like to rephrase what they said. ACC's can bend, not will. Will is like saying that they do like aluminums. The carbon wrapping makes them less prone to bending, but should you start shooting rocks and trees and such it doesn't matter what you are shooting. ALL arrows can and will eventually get damaged.
Shoot tight groups and you can put a crease in them which makes them next to useless. I learned that the hard way. Now I know that's the reason for shooting one arrow at one bullseye.
As mentioned ACC's are one of the finest arrows you can buy within the realm of reality. There are always X10's and the like, but now we're talking $375/ dozen.
Putting things in perspective I can say this. Over the last ten years or so I've shot about ten different carbon and ACC arrows. They are all good. Some better than others. When I want something that flies the most consistent I always come back to my ACC's.
Now, if you're looking for an aluminum/carbon composite a tad cheaper then check the ones made by Gold Tip/Blackhawk.

Simply the best arrows money can buy. Extremely durable. The tolerances are very tight. The G nock is the best nock out there, IMO, improved penetration, better speed, better accuracy.......You almost have to shoot them to really understand.
The only way I'll stop shooting them is if they stop making them, and that's not likely. They've been around a while, and unchanged. I'll not even shoot anything else.

Check my avatar, clean pass through and the arrow was still straight enough to use for target shooting (although I retired it as a trophy). A/C/C's are the toughest shafts out there; they are the best of both worlds.
