Default Which is better

WB or Drop-Away.....HAHA!! No really I don't care anymore!!

I just put on a newfibre sight that over all is smaller than the dinosour pin sight I took off. Now I'm setting up the pins, but I'm noticing I'm having troubles being consistent. I had better groups with the old sight whether I'm hitting the target where I want or not. So I'm looking through the peep and I see a LOT of air between the inside edge of the peep and the outside edge of the new sight. I'm spending more time adjusting the sight in the peep than I am setting the pin on the target....
So what I'm after here is, should I consider a smaller peep?
Wouldn't that create a smaller area to gather light in low light conditions?

Right now I'm shooting a tru peep. Should I consider a tube style peep??

just center the pin in your peep...or center the site housing in your peep. somehow my peep is the SAME exzact size of my sight housing. for consistancy sake i shoot when my peep covers up my housing perfectly. you could goto a smaller peep but like you said, thats going to give you a smaller hole.

I have a tru peep and my sight housing (circular) fits perfectly inside the peep when looking thought it. I had the tube style before but will never go back.

There are peeps available with different size holes in them. You may need a smaller peep to better fit your new sight. Smaller peeps transmit less light, though. Your sight picture may appear less bright. Using a peep with tubing won't change what you're experiencing now. Since you're not using the tubing now, you'd be going backwards to start using one.

I've shot both but the QAD doesn't hurt speed at all compared to the WB. JMO

Masterdiver, you're on the wrong thread. The original question conserns peep sights, not rests.

Well, I don't know what to do now. I may just have to switch to a smaller hole tru-peep, shoot outdoors a bit and see how it is... Thanks!!
