tuning question ?

I shoot a PSE bruin 65lb@29in,4in feathers on a super carbon magnum 55-70 arrow I changed form the WB to the shaky hunter rest . I paper tuned the bow at the pro shop after they put on the new rest. When we got a good hole in the paper my arrow was a 1/2 in tail high .Is this to much? Should I not paper tune and get back close to level ? What could make the arrow need to be that tail high ?

RE: tuning question ?

Could be a lot of things and itcould be more than one. I know you would like an answer that would solve the problem, but it's something your going to have to work out and in the long run will be a huge benifit.

Paper tuning requires doing it from different distances to get a picture of what the arrow is doing. You could get it just right at one distance and it be off at shorter and longer distances.

It could be the rest isn't falling quick enough.
It could be your dropping your bow arm.
It could be contact with the shelf.
It could be your nock is to low.
It could be uneven nock travel.
It could be an old arrow.
It could be your foc is way off with those feathers and a heavy tip.
It could be your release.
It just could be a lot of things.
