Vane and String Wear!

I was wondering if any of you guys could help me out. Im getting some wear on the 3 o'clock vane and on my cable. The vane is rubbing on the cable. Is there anything i can do to fix this or should i try some different arrows and see if that helps. Thanks for your help!

Being a right handed shooter, you should not have a vane at the 3 o'clock position. Flip the arrow around 180 degrees and set it at the 9 o'clock position.

If your cable guard is adjustable you can swing it out a bit more. It's possible that your cables are meant to be on the outside of the guard instead of hung from the inside (if it's an older bow). You can rotate your nock a bit as long as you're still clearing through your rest. I imagine that your tuning will improve dramatically when you get this fixed.

Hey thanks for the help guys. Turns out it was the cable guard getting in the way. Once again thanks for the help.

RE: Vane and String Wear!

I hade the same issue with my Browning Tornado last year. I tried putting the cable slide on the outside of the gaurd but the sting had such a big angle on it, it was tearing my serving while going through the axle. I tried a smaller, low profile slide and my inner fletching was still hitting the cable. I then refletched my arrows with low profile vanes... problem solved. (That and i bought a new bow, that helped also.)
