It quite possibly simply needs to be re-served, but like gibblet said, w/out seeing it, it's very hard to tell for certain.

I have had the same thing happen with my zebra string the serving is sliding around where my string loop is and also where the edge of my cam comes around on the serving I am going to replace it with another brand of string

You should be fine, but it would be wise to get it reserved. As long as there arent any burrs on the cam for the string to rub against, it shouldnt break. But there is so much use around those areas with serving. If it's around your cam it wont change anything in your setup anyways unless they take out some twists in the string.

RE: bowstrings ????

if an end comes loose and is hanging free it'll get all gommed up (gom is a southern word for a real mess) in cam and end up just coming off and you won't have any serving there.
