Attention all...Need help string exploded
 

my XT string is gone it blew up on me today on a routine shot busted my rest, broke solid anchor of the cable to my limb, lost a 15 dollar arrow and all the while im out of a bow.
the string maybe only had 1200 shots on it max
sad thing is i just got the thing shooting darts att all ranges.
Do yall think mathews will get right??????

Should be interesting. Strings usually are not warranted unless it's another cause of the bow mechanics...sorry to hear that lte, let us know how you make out.

btw im shooting an easton 400 spine with 100grn points so im not underspined

no idea give them a call it cant hurt...also a good way to look at is you get to go bow shopping :D

no im not goin bow shoppin I checked my limbs and they are ok no cracks or anything but my rest is almost destroyed.

Mathews will probably make right. I have seen a few problems through the shop (nothing this drastic) and they have always been good about it and very quick as well. Are you the original owner of the bow? Call your dealer you bought it from and they will take care of you I am sure.

Darn it Laramy,I guess the archery god's are telling you to give Gibblet a call . You won't be dissappointed .
I'm not sure as to that Mathew's will honour the string's ,unless there's something wrong with your bow that caused the problem ,and I'm also pretty sure they'll want you to send the bow to them ,so they can check it out .

Even if Mathews offer to replace the strings, I would put a good set of custom strings. Those Mathews/barracuda strings don't have a great reputation.

imho I think the factory strings are junk and I proved it as you could see at the cost of some of my equipment.

The factory strings on the 06 Mathews really aren't that bad, they don't seem to creep/stretch much at all. The serving does seem to be of poor condition though. Blow ups like this aren't common, I have sold and serviced a lot of them and seen a few come in for serving problems, but never have I seen one blow up like this. The few string problems I have seen on 06 models that were bought from us Mathews stepped up to the plate and took care of the problem with no questions asked.
