PVC cleaner for shafts

I was at the shop getting my STS yesterday and saw the pro cleaning shafts with PVC cleaner. It took any glue residue off in a hurry. I had never heard of this. I asked if it might damage the shafts. He said he has been using it for years with no problems. Works faster and easier than acetone. I think next time I refletch I'll give it a try. THIS IS FOR CARBON ARROWS ONLY! IT WILL TAKE THE PAINT OFF ALUMINUM!

i love the smell of that purple grape juice. i dont know if it chemicaly can harm the metal or carbon. maybe a chemist type can tell if it might weaken an arrow though.
