Your mileage may vary but in general the human eye has a higher sensitivity for the green (~550nm wavelength) than any of the other colors. The dark gray area of the graph is generally accepted as the typical sensitivity to the various colors of the spectrum. Higher peaks = more sensitivity. Additionally the scale is lograthmic so a change of 1 unit on the vertical axis is a change in sensitivity of 10X.
Most people will see green best, followed by yellow, then orange and red at the bottom of the list. If you happen to be Red/Green color blind then something in the middle like yellow would probably work best.
