are Cabela's Arrow saws any good?

I am considering buying one of the arrow saws that Cabela's has under their name, partly because the neareat archery shop is a 20 min drive on a good day, and they are only open a few hours, a few days a week and it's always when I'm working, the next nearest is over almost 20 miles one way. With the price of gas just to drive there to get some carbons cut to length, etc I thought I may as well spend the $100 for a Cabela's saw IF they are any good.

Anyone have one? How good is it?

I just got the 8,000 RPM model for a father's day gift. I haven't had a chance to run anything through it, but I did take it out of the box and set it up. I am impressed with how well it appears to be built anyhow. Also, if you are cutting carbons, you need to use more than 5,000 RPM to keep from damaging the carbon fibers. The 8,000 is $50 more. The 5,000 will do fine if you are only cutting aluminums.

Thanks,
Thant's a good thing to know about the speed since I didn't see anything about it when I was down to the nearest store.

My response is exactly as Snood Slapper. I set mine up, but have cut no arrows yet.

One feature that I like is the rollers for checking straightness.

One thing that it doesn't have that I wish it did have is a place to attach a vacuum. Once I've run a few arrows through it, I'll know if this is a big problem or not.
