browning ballistic mirage or mirage hunter?

I bought a browning mirage hunter. They also sell a ballisic mirage ,which I feel may be a bit longer and has a alot less cables from yolk system to the cam.Which is the faster of the two.And what is the general feedback on the mirage hunter.I know it was hot stuff in the 90,s Thanks!

RE: browning ballistic mirage or mirage hunter?

I don't think the Ballistic is any longer. I think both bows were 40-41" axle to axle. The Ballistic did have a simpler rigging, and was a little faster. Actual letoff on those bows was 56%, I remember. They had basically the same riser, but the Ballistic had some unique touches. They were hot bows in the '90s, and would still do the job today, but I'd want to invest in enough Sims stuff to quiet them down with lighter arrows. It can be done though. I was able to quiet down my old Darton Viper to be nearly as quiet as most new bows. It had some recoil to it, but was very quiet, and I still haven't found anything that shoots significantly better than that old bow.;)
