Equalizer bow
 

Sorry for posting this. It has been beaten already.

I couldn't resist. So I went out and try one. The birth certificate state 278 fps for 60# and 25". When I looked at the modules, it was the 1.5 module. In this case, I believe it's 25.5" draw instead. I really like the bow, but when I shot it, I felt vibration on the handle. I won't go into detail as others had already talked about this bow. Compare to my Tech29, I can not feel any vibration. I was thinking about replacing my Tech29, but I am having second thought. Did anyone that had shot this bow felt vibration as well or is it just me and this bow?

Is the Equalizer you tested fully setup with the hush kit and a stabilizer? Alot of test bows in shops don't have any accessories on them so you aren't comparing apples to apples possibly.

Yes, it is setup with hush kit, but no stabilizer. I shot my Tech29 w/o stabilizer and felt no vib.

I don't think you can really tell without setting it up yourself the way you want it. The whole deal not just the rest and things. I think most bows in most places are just not set up right. Take a tape with you and check the specs next time. The kind of string makes a difference as well.

A 1.5 module is a 26 1/2" draw, the 25" draw should have a 3.0 module. I bought mine with a 1.5 mod. and then bought a 1.0 so I had a 27" draw. At 55#/27" with a 285 gr. arrow I get 288 fps and with a 350 gr. hunting arrow am getting mid 260's. With the hush kit on I felt nothing and it was quiet. Didn't like the looks of it though so took it off and just put on limb savers, no string silencers, and notice just a slight twang, not annoying but definetly there. Still no hand shock. Everyone I've talked to has said the same thing. Is it possible the grip was loose?

Iroquois, what number should a 28.5" DL Mod read? do you have a chart you go by? if so can you please publish it on this site?

The Equalizer is only available with draw lengths up to 27" max.

They are 23 1/2"-4.5, 24"-4.0, 24 1/2"-3.5, 25"-3.0, 25 1/2"-2.5, 26"-2.0, 26 1/2"-1.5 and 27"-1.0.

Well, after seeing the module chart, the birth cert is wrong then. I figure if I had the 3.0 mod on, the speed will be about the same as my T29. Well, I will be shooting my T29 again this year. No need to replace. My T29 is pretty lucky so far - one every year. :)

I doubt the BC is wrong, it merely shows performance as shipped from the factory. It may have had a module change since then by the shop. I would also be surprised that an older design like the tech 29 would be as fast as an Equalizer. The Bowtech Manual lists the tech 29 when fitted with a 25" module at 264-272 so you would need to be shooting the 70 lb version to come near what a 60 lb Equalizer can do at 60 lbs. And even then a 25" Equalizer would be rated at @ 280 IBO. Still, not a thing wrong with the Tech 29 though.
