Handmade string loops?

I saw an earlier post on string loops, and have put them on a few bows and I really never jumped on the bandwagon.I'm made some new strings for my bow this weekend and am think of trying string loops .Anyhow I saw some handmadde stringloops on cabelas website that you have to use a bow press to install them(which I have)I was just wondering what length these are and do you serve over the two tag ends? Also do you tie thee two tag ends in a square knot or leave them free under thee serving?I like this type of string loop if I'm going to use them an I may make several if they work well.

Make a Catfish Loop. They're the best.

i would tie a knot. it took me about 3 tries to get one right, then i realized you have to serve them in place, they are heavy and very stiff, and its not at all what i'm looking for in a string loop.

I'll post a pic of the ones I made later today.Something I always wondered ,and that is why does every one tie a string loop with sadddle hitches rather than clove hitches?A saddle hitch can slip easily and a clove hitch will stay put.I'll also post a picture of the difference latter when I get home from work.I work with rope daily and in my trade I better know how to tye knots, and a clove hitch is a really important knot.Gibblet I too noticed the loop slipping.Straight arrow those photo's are exactly how I made my first ones.Pretty neat.
