Prong rest better than drop-away

I have a new Trykon XL that I have spent a LOT of time with recently experimenting with rests. I'm doing broadhead tuning and working to get broadheads and field points impacting the same at 25 yards. Have tried 2 different drop-aways and played with the launcher positioning as well as the up time. Just can't get them to impact the same. Can slap on a NAP Quicktune 3000 and have them impacting the same within a few minutes. Has anyone else run into such a problem? Could the prong-type rest just be better for launching broadheads? Could the cable for the drop-away be affecting the side torque or timing of the cam and 1/2 system?[/align]

Very strange??? How well do you have your machine tuned?? What b-heads are you trying to shoot??? I have never had anything but exceptional results with the Trophy Ridge Drop Zone.

I'm shooting 125 gr. Montecs and 125 gr. field points, but I have experimented with muzzy 115 gr. 4 blades as well. I can get the broadheads to group pretty well, but the point of impact is always different with the drop away, but with the prong rest, they are identical. It's weird, but I have run into this once before...can't remember exactly what bow it was then, but a similar scenario with the drop away. I have probably spent more than 12 hours playing with the drop aways to try to get them to shoot broadheads and fieldpoints the same. I have tried my trophy taker, and a cobra diamondback. I have even attached the diamondback cable to the cable slide to see if it made any difference, but it didn't.

kinda makes sense because the broad head will want to steer the arrow and with the drop away it can do that easier because the rest isnt there to guide the arrow once the string is released... if that made any sense
