The hats are a good Richardson wool hat and the grunt tube is made by Cut Down Game Calls...


The reason I posted the pic above (which I don't see now, maybe it's because I'm on a different computer) is because I was looking through the 2003 PSE catalog and saw on page 62 they sell Sport Safety Glasses, item #4103... It says under the glasses .Safety Glasses should be worn at all times when shooting or working on bows????...LOL...

Ya better not have stuick that sticker on the back of my vehicle either, Frank....LOL....

Oh, and Frank.... If something were to happen to any of my new BowTech's I'll darn sure not tell you about it...Not after the ribbing I've been giving you...Take Care...

Frank, I'm glad to hear they took care of you. It doesn't really surprise me that they replaced the bow since yours was one of the first shipped out and they probably wanted to check it out. I am surprised that they responded so quickly though, but good for them.

You should be surprised if other folks have to use customer service. And if it isn't for the same problems, what other problems are there? I was a little surprised too. I expected new cables before the week was out...but nothing more initially. If it was found that the bow had more damage after the cables were installed then the bow would have been shipped back for Hoyt to make the decision.

Although my numbers are based on speculation from past experience and extrapolating based on some otehr sales figures I have seen over the years

If Hoyt Pumps out about 30,000 bows a year. that 1 in 12 ratio don't look so hot...

The first time was when one of local pro shop's customer's had a problem with his riser. They sent him a new one...overnighted it...within 48 hours of when he reported the problem...:)

On a more serious note...I think your second speed estimate should be pretty darn close. Considering Hoyt tests their bows at the lower percentage of letoff and I will be shooting the higher one....the speed should come out right between 305 and 307 fps.

Uhhh...do you think I should just load up the string with my accessories and shoot some hunting arrows out of it for awhile anyway....just in case? <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Serious thought, I wonder what Mathews will do this year since both Bowtech and Hoyt have unveiled a line up that is non-solo intensive. That, my dear friend, is something you are going to have to wait till tomorrow afternoon to find out. It was dark by the time I got the bow home and set everything up...and I don't have indoor lights for the chrono.

I did shoot it extensively though...at least 50 or 60 shots and I am very happy with its shooting characteristics. Early preview......

...low noise, no vibration, slight, funky recoil. Drills those arrows...put another hole in the basement door (don't tell the wife)...and it is scary accurate....I mean drilling two inch sized dots at 20 yards within the first dozen arrows and not even tuning it yet. <img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>

Agreed. That's the way I felt when I shot the new Hoyts. Very unlike the CPS it's compared too (though admittedly, this is more a function of overall design than simply cam system vs. cam system)

As I've found with the CPS, and the dual cam designs. There is no doubt in my mind that the hybrids and duals are more accurate than the single track idler conventional solocam, all things being equal.

Oh I do like them. But I have too many Bowtechs I want right now..even then I can't find a set of specs I like in the Hoyt line-up this year..all the brace heights dropped. The CyberTec's brace is too short, the Razortec's is too short at brace and Ato A, as is the HavocTec(A2A), and the Ultra is too long (not to mention I've had 2 Ultras..and they just don't do it for me)

Give me 34 to 35&quot; with about a 7.5 to 7.75 &quot; brace height...oh..wait a minute..how 'bout we add in about 320 FPS at my draw length and ... well... what'dya know! how 'bout that...Patriot Dual Cam! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle>

And just for the record Frank. I never claimed my bow was fast, just accurate as all heck! I don't play the speed game nor have I ever.
