"String Stretch"

I just received my string and cable from "gibblet" and was amazed at how much the old string had stretched!!! The new set-up looks great and I cant wait to shoot it. There was the old peep with the tubing and would like some comments on new peeps to use. What kind does everyone prefer for hunting situations. Thanx, Doug

This is what I use:

http://www.specialtyarch.com/hoodedballpeep.htm

Scroll down to the bottom of that page and you will see a "NEW" logo for the 1/4 inch hooded super ball peep for hunters in low light conditions. That's the one I'm using. If you think 1/4 is too big then you can always install one of their inserts to make the hole whatever size you wish.

Retitle your thread, "String Creep"... Remember "stretch" is a temporary elongation and "creep" is a permanate elongation....

People refer to string stretch when in reality it's creep....

Anyway, I use the Super Peep on my bow which allows you to screw in apertures of different sizes including lens...a little heavier but I use a scope lens from time to time.

If I would not use this, I recommend a Tru-peep...they now have some larger sizes to match up with todays rounded sights....
