Are the bow mounted type worth looking at?

I've never heard of a bow mounted chronograph and can't figure how it would or could work... Do you mean a bow mounted range finder?

IMHO no they are not worth the money I have tried a couple of them and could never get the same speed twice matter of fact the ones I tried where not even in the general ball park.

I ended up getting a Chrony Chronograph from here.

The one I got was the F1 for $59.95 plus about $8 for shipping. It was ordered online Sunday night and arrived here Thursday morning, they even included the 9v battery ;)

I ordered it last Sat the 25th and it still hasn't arrived as of this Sat the 1st. They must like the color of your money better than mine:D. I'll call them middle of next week if it hasn't arrived by then;).

It came today. Now, do I need one of those indoor lights that attach to it to shoot say in the basement?

I've read where some had mixed results with shooting through a chrono indoors. I get very consistent results with my old Shooting Chrony outside as long as there is no direct sunlight entering one of the screens (ports) of the chronograph. An overcast day seems to work very well also.

A friend of mine has one of the bow mounted ones and it is very accurate. The chronys wont work indoors if you are under flourescent lighting but incandescent lighting I havent had any trouble.

I have a ProChrono Digital Chronograph and I have the lighting kit for it. Are these accurate indoors when you use the light for it? I get very consistenty velocities with the same arrow, usually get duplicate speeds time after time.

YEs Dave with the light kit installed you will get very accurate results
