Insert wobble

Got a dozen ACC arrows from easton about a year ago. Finally bought a spin checker and was surprised to find about half had a wobble. How can I cure this problem?

RE: Insert wobble

Do you know if the inserts are epoxy'd in or hot glued? Are your inserts aluminum or carbon? With ACC's I'm assuming you have aluminum inserts. You'll need a torch or some other extreme heat source. Put in a long field tip and unscrew them partially....to have a little distance from carbon to heat....heat the tip of the field point but be sure NOT to heat/burn the carbon....it doesn't take much heat to loosen the glue....using a set of pliers, not your fingers, screw in the point and turn it past tight rotating the inserts...you can repeat this until you get the insert to line up but be sure not to over heat and liquidfy the glue....a little heat goes a long way...and BE CAREFUL.

What Rob said is a good start. If this doesn't make things perfect then you could try the insert squaring tool made by G5. It's possible you have some inserts that are not machined well. This tool will square up the face of the insert so your heads are in line with the shaft---hopefully.
