RE: Tribute Chrono results: Question?
WAGGS- Smooth mods! Yikes I didn't know the smooth mods could pull that off- yes, that would work very well . Are you running the stock string to achieve that?

RE: Tribute Chrono results: Question?
That's the way it came out of the box. I'm shooting mine with just a kisser button and tied in nock set and string loop. I haven't adjusted the string or cables,, just shoot it as factory set[8D] The fast mods did 274 fps with the same arrow, the BC said 305 fps with the smooth mods at 60/29/300 grains. The Binary cams seem to throw a heavier arrow better than the single cams in my experience.

RE: Tribute Chrono results: Question?
Yummy yummy. Although they carry the same IBO rating, the Tribute's speed is acquired using the 452x (was it 24 strand?) while my Pat's speed was obtained using the olderTS-1 material. When I switched to 452x I lost an easy 7fps, of course there is more involved than just the string material (old string stretched, cam timing etc.)
Looks like the Tribute will give me what I'm after.

RE: Tribute Chrono results: Update 3/17
For comparisons sake, my 06 Allegiance 60/29 with peep and a loop is shooting 400g GT7595 at 271 with the smooth mods when shot through a new whisker biscuit. This was a little slower than I had expected given the 317 birth cirtificate--I suspect that new biscuit is robbing me of several fps. I know I could drop some arrow weight and pick up speed, but for hunting, this speed/weight combination has proven pretty effective. Besides, it's convenitent to shoot one arrow out of my 3 bows. I shot a smooth mod tribute repeatedly before choosing the smooth mod allegiance--it wasa toss up between the two for me. It would be interesting to compare a fast mod tribute with a smooth mod allegiance. I'll bet it'ssixes. The smooth mod is pleasant to shoot and the velocity is not bad considering I'm shooting 100g over IBO. Interestingly, the 271fpsis the same velocity I was getting out a 70/29 Patriot SC (with a full string and plus a peep/tube) shooting the same arrows. My 05 Alegiance 70/29 with peep, loop and extra nock is shooting the same arrows at 294 fps. It's sure not as pleasant to draw. Given the speeds of these new bows, that 05 allegiance may well be my last 70lb bow. It's hard to imagine speeds continuing to climb a whole more with reasonable brace heights. We'll see!

RE: Tribute Chrono results: Update 3/17
Elkaddict, very interesting that you and WAGGS are getting the nearly same speed with two different model bows and an BC differential of 12 fps. I wonder if it's the diference in chronies + the WB?
My new bowhunting magazineshows NAP's new improved capture rest and I may consider giving it a go over my WB, if my TT or drop zone don't pan out. The new NAP looks like it would work very well, no fletching contact and full containment with bristles holding the top sides of the arrow.
My NEW BOWTECH dealer (finally) has a 60#tribute (he said it shows 59. something on the BC) shooting a 350 grain arrow 275 through a WB at 28". I may go by today and shoot it some.
But if I buy I will probably order or wait until a 60 # tribute comes in that actually pulls somewhat over 60#. Heck at least 60[8D].
He also has two Tomcats in, both 70#ers and feels he may have made a mistake of ordering more allegiances than anything else.
Anyhow- I'm not sure his 28" 60# tribute will pull off my 400gr, 270fps, 29" draw goal. He has no mods in at this time- but I can wait- my Pat is still shooting good.

Thanks for taking the time to post your results.
I like the following-
375 – 275 / 281
402 – 267 / 273
Add in the fact that I shoot with a loop only (no-peep & sts) and things could even get better .
