Question for nubo.
 

I know a while back you added extended fibre optics on your spot hogg sight and i was just wondering how you are liking now that youve had it for a while? Does it definitely make a difference and how about the durability? Thanks for your help. Im really thinking about trying this and i want to know if it worked for you before i go and ruin my sight;)

I done both my Hogg-it sights about a year ago and am extremely happy;)

Yes the pins are a lot brighter even in low light situations, I no longer need a sight light when shooting indoors;)

You just have to be a little more careful when going through thick stuff, lifting and lowering the bow from your stand as the exposed fiber can get caught on a branch:)

I just got the hunter hogg-it and made the sight pin modification. It really, really made the pins brighter. Big ups to all you guys that posted on how to do this. It took me a whopping 15 minutes to do it. A little more motivation and I may even post a picture.

As far as hunting I wondered the same thing about durability. I hunt a lot, and in really thick, nasty stuff. So for now I'm good but as soon as next season rolls around I know I am going to have to do something to protect the fibers.Onelittle branch and 'snap', there goes that pin. I'm sure I will come up with something but I just don't feel like thinking about it right now as I am just shooting targets and not walking through the woods with my bow.

As for the pin's ,Yes they're definately brighter ,but I've not been able to get out as Gibblet say's ,since we've still got 4 feet of snow on the ground .
I'm a little concerned about the durability thing as well ,but Authur P say's he has a quick fix for covering the extended fibre's ,so as they don't get hung up on branch's .but I'm still waiting to see what he has come up with .
Ausie Guy is a master at this craft ,and is the one who gave me the idea in the first place. I was complaining about losing my pin's well before last light while hunting ,and he gladly helped me out with this matter.So as soon as we get some relief with the snow I'll know for sure .
Don't worry about ruining your sight ,because fibre's are real cheap ,and if you don't like it ,you can alway's change it back .

Sorry i forgot to add this....is there a certain trick to bending the fibre? I dont want to break them all if i try to do it wrong.[&:]

inside the tubing they are easy to bend.

Yea ! you will find the fiber's very flexable ,and you just slide them into the hole's where your fiber's are now and then touch the end that come's out the very end of your pin with a hot knife and it'll melt the end so that it doesn't come out .
