Default fletchens

how do you get them to unwrinkle? I have been told to hole them over stem but that doesn't seem to work. ALso I am shooting the arrows up and to the left. My sights are moved to the max and will not move anymore. Is it me?

First off, welcome to the board. There is a lot of good info available here. I will try to give some that might be helpful.

I don't worry about straightening my fletches; I just shoot them until they get too wrinkled and then I refletch. You might want to have your arrows refletched if they are very badly damaged.

If your fletching is wearing on just one particular fletch, then you may have a rest clearance problem. This might explain your 'high and left' groups. You can spray your arrow rest with aerosol foot powder and see if any gets wiped off by your fletching when you shoot.

When you adjust your sight, you are 'chasing the group'? That means if you are grouping high and left then you move your sight up and to the left. Good luck.

ps.: Whoops. Sorry, you might not be new to the board after all. Forgot about the bbs cornholing us all for a couple hundred posts. Good to e-meet you anyway!

Hey thanks for helping for a while I didn't think anyone was going to reply to this. I did go out and buy a different arrow rest now my arrows are alot more precise. The fletchens are wrinkled on only one arrow and its no big deal I just was wondering if anyone knew how to fix it. But I have 3 more other ones that are fine. I set my sights today (I HOPE) I shot all morning and at 20 yards I am good at 30 yards I hit the box which is about the size of a deer anyway, so I should be ok. I wasn't chasing the group at first I was chasing one arrow. But even now there is always that one or two that go way off to the side away from the group which makes me worry but I think its just me shaking or flinching or something of that matter. Thanks.
