Question about A/C/C....
I recently changed from carbon to A/C/C's, but I have a question. I shoot, and love archers flame lighted nocks, but they don't fit with the uni bushing. Can those be removed, or do I need to cut off the nock shank? I cetainly don't want to just "try it" and see what happens. These arrows are too expensive for experiments.

RE: Question about A/C/C....
What size A/C/Cs are you shooting?

RE: Question about A/C/C....
They do come out and they sell uni-bushing for ACCS as replacements. I have never taken them out and shot a different nock. The main reason I shot the ACC's is the G-nock. I love the smaller nock so I can use a small loop. But if you have to heat the uni-bushing up to get it to come out be very careful you dont harm the carbon.

RE: Question about A/C/C....
I shoot A/C/C 3-60s and I just heat up the uni bushing and pull it out. Then I take a 32 caliber bore brush and attach it to a cordless drill to clean out the glue and slightly rough up the inside of the shaft. Then a standard super nock wil fit. Some will be tight and you may have to lightly sand them but they will fit in a 3-60. I have some lumenoks on order to put in mine as we speak. I'm not sure if this will work on the other sizes.

RE: Question about A/C/C....
Thanks, Mike. I also shoot 3-60's. If they do indeed come out fairly easily, this shouldn't be too difficult a task. Just heat them over a small flame, and remove with pliers, eh?

RE: Question about A/C/C....
Yeah, it usually doesn't take a lot of heat and they'll pull right out. Be careful with the flame near the carbon. BTW, I'm not familiar with the Archers Flame nocks but I just bought 6 Lumenoks off Ebay for less than $40 shipped.
