Difference in Bowtech Cam options?
 

What is the difference between Bowtech's Infinity Cam and the standard BT Cam other than the I. Cam's adjustability?

The design of the Infinity cam is mainly intended to be able to adjust let off. In turn when you move the draw stop to adjust the let off it does minutely adjust your draw length. In most cases to adjust from 80% down to 65% is approx. 1/8" or less. The standard BT Post Feed cam is only available in 80% let off. The geometry of the cam is the same just ones let off adjustable and ones not. Hope this answers your question.

I was under the distinct impression that the Infinity cam also let one adjust their draw range over several inches, down to 1/64", as stated on Bowtech's website. I e-mailed them some questions about this cam yesterday, but no response yet...

I would also like to know if the infinity cam adjusts the drawlength a couple of inches. In other words, adjust from say 26" to 29" with the same cam and setup.

Both cams use 1 in. draw modules, there are no posts to adjust your draw, and as Bow Teck shooter says, the draw adjusts in small incremints only on the draw stop which also changes the let off. The wording on the web site is a little confusing.

As I stated the draw stop is for let off adjustment. You don't need several inches of adjustment with this cam since it's modular adjustable as is all of BowTech's cams. You can adjust the let off to a specific percent if you like such as 80%-75%-70%-65% or even lower if you like. The lower the let off the more draw length you will lose though.

driftrider, The Brace height would be the same and the speeds will vary according to your set up. If you go from 80% down to 65% we you will gain some speed generally 2-3 fps. remember when you adjust from 80% down to 65% your losing approx. 1/8" of draw length but thats all. The cam is designed for the people that like lower let offs and for those wish to score a P&Y animal and also for those who live in states that don't allow more than 65% let off. Hope this helps.
