changing limbs
 

changed my first set today. wasn't too difficult. i want to thank ausie for giving me the tips i'd need to do it, and my digital camera because it came in handy once. oh, had to build a seahawks colored string and post the pics of me and it on AT because i lost a bet to a seahawks fan. it was on the panthers vs. seahawks game. here's the pic. i usually don't wear a hat, but gave myself my first do-it-yourself haircut yesterday and it didn't go so well.

I bet the press worked nice. Last time I changed limbs I had to wrestle my bow on the carpet, but I did win.

it did, but i think i'm going to order the attachment piece for the extreme parallel limb bows. once the bow is put together it does nice, but getting those new limbs pressed enough to put the strings on from a completely flat limb start, it put uneven pressure on them. could have been how i had it layed in there, but i think with the attachment it would have been easier.

you don't want to see the haircut, but i did laugh the whole time i was doing it.

i talked to jason this morning to order the attachment arm for extreme parallel bows, and it turns out when i changed my limbs i had the down rollers in the wrong position - oops!, and that's why the uneven pressure. i got the arm anyway. he's super nice guy.

Yep, gotta say that Ausie's a great guy, and always more than willing to lend a helping hand!

I was planning on getting the arm too; of course I've also got a Tribute and a friend with a Switchback XT so it's a necessity for me. I'd probably need it even for my Allegiance.
