shrink wrap solution
so i've been using this stuff called 'serv anchor' for installing speed nocks. its a black liquid rubber you paint on and it dries to black rubber. anyway, a little bottle is $6.95 at least and then you have shipping if no one local has it.
well, i'm at wally world in the auto dept and guess what i see? a bottle with 5 times as much product for about $4. its called liquid electrical tape. i'm 99.9% sure whoever sells serv anchor is buying this stuff and putting it in little bottles and making some cake. nothing wrong with that, but now i know. plus you can order the liquid electrical tape in different colors. just thought i'd pass it on. |
RE: shrink wrap solution
Good to know......haha. Will be heading to super walmart tonight to look for this stuff. Serv anchor also gets clumpy when it sits in the box for too long.......mine is all clumpy. [&:]

RE: shrink wrap solution
I need some too, my speed nocks are naked!

RE: shrink wrap solution
I coat my API Climber chains with the stuff to make them 4x's as durable then the regular chain shrink wrap. It will last more than two to three seasons verse the one season shrink tubing.

RE: shrink wrap solution
Where at on the string , are the best locations for speed nocks? Also , how many?

RE: shrink wrap solution
generally the manufacturer sets a distance from the axle for them, but i guess if you really want to find the best place you have to fiddle with placement and a chrono.

RE: shrink wrap solution
Trykonstein- Hoyt is using those silencer balls as your speed nocks. Ditch them and you'll lose 4fps says my friend who tried it.
As much KE and your stroking I'd leave well enough alone ;) |
