what dose this do?? "bowtech

i got a new bowtech tomkat and on the top cam they have that "thing" you can lossen it with an allen wrench and slide it up or down, i have heard it changes the letoff and the valley? is that true? i like the way it shoots but i wouldn't mind tring it at different settings to see if i like it more, but i don't want to mess anything up either. i can't find any info on it so i figured i would ask here. thanks a lot!

Yes that's the draw stop, It is supposed to allow you to choose from 65 to 80% let-off or anywhere in between.
Make sure to know where the two points are and stay between them.

Not only does it adjust letoff , and valley , but drawlenght , all at the same time . If you lessen one you lessen them all , and visa/versa unfourtanatly . They advertise drawlenth and letoff adjustable , but with the bowtechs of years past you could not adjust those things independantly . This year they came out with adjustable draw force modules , an improvement for those of us who want adjustability .

ijimmy is right that the draw stop adjust everything at the same time. But please, please, please do NOT go playing with the adjustment if you don't know what you are doing. If you move it too far in one direction your cams will roll over and become "locked". You will then need to take your bow to someone with a bow press and explain to them why you screwed it up while they laugh at you. Read your owners manual.
