Bow making

I tried to search, but my work's firewall won't let me use that feature of this site. My question where can I find info on bow making. Every search I do turns me up empty handed. The guides are poorly done or you have to pay like 25$ + shiiping for some book you can't preview. They are all geared toward traditional bows too. I want to make something very simple and very pretty. I don't care if it is traditional or not. I'm 25 AD USAF and a father of two with a VERY clingy wife. Making a bow out of power tools and other modern tools is what I would prefer, due to lack of time and just being a young punk ;). I don't hunt, so I don't need the special bond that only comes through tradition. I shoot target and occasionally a few rabbits. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have been searching for 3 weeks solid.
