Well, not to sound smart, but if you are reading it on AT why don't you start posting some stuff over here?

Just got home from the ATA. Many new bow companies with IMO crappy bows. Most bows are harder to pull than last years models, speed is back smooth is out.

One bow that caught my eye was the PSE Mojo SD which is the only good bow for a younger kid shooting fingers, or who wants an accurate bow and not speed. For the money the bow is a very smooth, good shooting bow.
IMO the constitution is not as good as the 05, they took away the smoothness and easy pull for a few FPS.
Hoyt's new Trykon is a great bow, I would expect a protec and ultratec with longer risers next year.

The most interesting thing I saw at the show was Panther arrows offered by carbon tech. The arrows are truely tappered. They are stiffer and heavier towards the front of the shaft. This allows3 things
1. Greater adjustablily on the spine of the arrow, One arrow shaft can cover 40-80 pounds. If you need a weaker arrow cut off the stiff side (front), if you need a stiff arrow cut of the weak side (back).
2. The arrow is naturally FOC. This allows lighter broadheads to fly just as good as heavier ones.
3. The arrow self tunes. The arrow will bend only as much as the bow wants it too. This allows the arrows to correct minor spine issues.

The air rest which works by magnets was at the show. Interesting idea, The magnets hold the arrow up at full draw. Seems to me the rest would have some problems but it is interesting. http://www.air-rest.com

Luepold has a new range finder out that tells you how you should aim, not the distance to the target. Say you are shooting at a deer 34 yards from the base of your tree. Most range finders will tell you something about 40 yards. The luepold will calculate the angle, and come up with 34 yards. It was pretty cool.

There is a stand company called ARNCO, they had some great ladder stands, they would be worth checking out.

Most importantly they were giving out free slick tricks. :D

RE: ATA report?

So, speed is back. What a huge disappointment. I've seen lots of companies seeming to succumb to this pressure. Too many posts about unimpressive bows (always referring to speed). Sad indeed...
