since I am going to be shooting more

I was thinking about getting fixed up to make my own arrows. All I would have to buy is the shafts. Anyone know where I could get fixed up at besides expensive cabelas?

Rather than dick around getting all the junk stuff why don't you get on the classifieds on www.archerytalk.com and see if you can get your hands on a used Bitzenburger Jig. These are about as good as they get and they never wear out. Right Helical, left helical, or straight doesn't much matter if you are shooting a drop away rest anyhow. The jig itself can be adjusted for all three. All you have to do is set it for the clamp you'll be using.

Other than that you need something to strip vanes and feathers from shafts. I use a good ole utility knife with a good supply of rzor blades for it.
Then you need a piece of scotch brite or fine grain sand paper to rough up the shaft where the fletching will attach. Some denatured alcohol or any alcohol that is at least 91% which you can find at the drugstore; do not use isopropyl as this has oils in it.
Then you nned some Fletch Tite Platinum glue andthe fletching of your choice.

That's about all for material.

I use a biscut but I'll check it out. I know if I am going to be shooting this much till next season, I'll spend a fortune on arrows. LOL.
