Stabillizer came loose, base stripped out???

Aloha Everyone ,
I am on the internet , whatch out:DWell i live in Hawaii and hunt piggs and goats with an older High Country compound . We (3) of us have had these bows since the early 1990's and they have bein through it all with them , and they still keep on going. They are all different. 1- no sights , no peep , no over draw , and the guy rules with it. 2- pin sights , peep and a quiver. Mine now has a wisker biskit , day glow sight and is getting better, UNTILL . My stabilizer starting getting loose on this last hunt and I pulled out the base plug that the stabilzer bar screws into the bow. Has anyone done this before? Any ideas on a fix? Without that threaded part in my bow I cant put a stabilizer back into it. JB Weld , Epoxry??
Any ideas on a good stabilizer for this bow , I dont know the model but just shooting out questions:)
Glad to be on the forum and appreciate any ideas !!!!!

If the threads are stripped out of the bow,go to your local auto parts store(ie NAPA,Car Quest, etc) and get a product called Heli-coil inserts.
It comes in a kit consisting of a threading tap, stainless steel threaded inserts and a insert installation tool.you will have to tell them what thread size your stabilizer is so they can give you the right kit.these kits come in both metric and standard sizes and in many differant bolt sizes. They are acually very easy to use will hold up to almost anything.

Hel-coil best way to go, that should make it like new. Or! get a new bow.

If the insert itself is not stripped andit just came out of the bow then yes go ahead and epoxy it back in. It was probably pressed and glued in somehow from the factory so re-gluing it shouldn't be a problem. As far as a new stabilizer goes you can't go wrong with a doinker. I like the 4-6in versions for hunting.

Welcome aboard!

I would re tap it and then use the blue loc-tite to hold it .
