RE: New Legacy What B-bead??

I have the exact same set up as you but I aint gettin no where near 295 fps I was getting 247 the one time I used the crono. I do have a peep site and kisser button so that may be what slowing me down :)
I get some drift also depending on how windy it is. I still hit a pie plate at 40 yards so that is ok with me. at 20 yards I have shot a hole dead center of my Mckinze target.
I am thinking of trying different arrows maybe that will help.
Love that Legacy.

If you are what you eat them I'm fast, cheap, and easy.

I have the exact same set up also. Not sure what speed is but heres my set up.
29.5 ACC 3-49 (I'm switching to a 30 in cam after the season)
Savage Feather Max sight
Peep
two nocks
carbon gel stabalizer
Dead center at 20, in low at 30 from the ground. The arrows fly like darts.

RE: New Legacy What B-bead??

I've got a Legacy w/ 28.5 draw and 71 lbs. With the cx 300's and 100 gr tips I chrono at 285 fps, so your #'s sound right to me. I found the key to arrow flight w/ broadheads is arrow spin. So, helical fletching with a drop away rest is ideal. The Mirage is the best in my opinion for the Legacy. With as much helical as I can put on a carbon shaft I find my broadheads fly almost as good as field tips, but not quite. At 45 yds my field tips shoot 3" groups and the broadheads about 6" groups. Still plenty good to hunt with, especially since most deer are killed under 25 yds. That's all I know. Good luck.
